CONGRATULATIONS MISTER OBAMA May I add my personal congratulations to Mr.Obama on his achievement in being reappointed for a second term to the position of U.S.President, undoubtedly the most position of power in the world. From a Scottish perspective we would look forward to joining your great nation as free and Democratic country after our referendum in 2014.Whilst appreciating that open support for our cause as a result of political expediency will not be within your remit, we would certainly hope that you will pay due respect to our nation, I have on occasion actually heard you mix your references up contextually when alluding to the English/British situation. You must keep in mind the “Historical Special Relationship” that exists between our two great nations, and the part, some would say, your ancestors played in forming the framework for what has become the most powerful nation on the planet. Whilst appreciating that you have no control over what is said or written in the American media. I would draw your attention to an editorial written in the Washington Post 30th October, in which the general tenor of the content was totally negative to the concept of Scottish independence. This scurrilous feature will induce me to respond by writing an e-mail remonstrating with the Editor to remind him of the “DEBT”America owes to all the people of Scottish origin who helped in the composition of the America Declaration of Independence. My intention is to rally support for a petition to this newspaper to come to grips with the reality of an inevitable “YES “vote in our 2014 referendum, and as a consequence Scotland will become a “Nuclear Free Nation”. I earnestly hope that among the petitioners will be the “MANY” wonderful facebook friends I have in America. .

I received a polite letter from one of my “MANY” English friends. He pointed out to me that aspects of my recent communications could be construed in some quarters as racist by definition. particularly with regard to my attitude towards the English people. With my good friend’s indulgence I would like to stress that having been involved with this medium for almost 4 years I have constantly emphasized the “FACT” that my quarrel is not with the ordinary good citizens (subjects) of this great nation; as I attempt to establish in my, less than eloquent way, that it is indeed what is commonly referred to as “THE ESTABLISHMENT” that I find reprehensible. In the following exposition I would like to adopt the position of the “KETTLE” and blacken the reputation of the “POT”. In doing so I will strive to quote the facts as diplomatically as possible. in order to retain the friendship I possess with all my English contacts. Definition of racism:- Racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. Put another way the upholders of this philosophy reveal a total lack of “RESPECT” for those they deem inferiors. “If one acts with a view to profit, there will be much resentment”:- Confucius. I draw up a list of examples which will hopefully justify my position. 1. Recently I wrote an article entitled “An Illegal Union” in which I described the appalling event of 1707,and the how the Scottish people were denied there “DEMOCRATIC “right to voice their opinion on the future of their nation. “NO RESPECT FOR THE PEOPLE OF SCOTLAND”! 2. When the incumbent monarch was crowned with the title Queen Elizabeth the “SECOND”. NO RESPECT FOR THE PEOPLE OF SCOTLAND”! (Check your history) 3. When the “BRITISH” National Anthem is played at English international sporting events. NO RESPECT FOR THE PEOPLE OF SCOTLAND! 4. When the English media refer to the Union flag as the “ENGLISH” flag. NO RESPECTFOR THE PEOPLE OF SCOTLAND! 5. Likewise when the English media refer to the “ENGLISH” Monarchy NO RESPECT FOR THE PEOPLE OF SCOTLAND! 6.In 1999,the then Labour Government unobtrusively passed an act in Parliament “The Scottish Adjacent Waters Boundaries Order” this was effectively an unwarranted “UNCONSTITUTIONAL” movement of the (water) border Scotland-England from its “LEGAL” position. NO RESPECTFOR THE PEOPLE OF SCOTLAND! 7.In 1974 the then Conservative Government commissioned an inquiry headed by Gavin McCrone,this to determine the effect of the discovery of vast reserves of oil and gas on the outlook for the future of Scotland and its relationship with the rest of the U.K.This whole process was carried out in an atmosphere of secrecy. The resultant findings revealed that an INDEPENDENT Scotland would become one of the richest countries in the world. Every effort was (SUCCESSFULLY) implemented to conceal these facts from the Scottish people; as the Westminster Government were fully aware of the potential damage that this would entail for the U.K... NO RESPECT FOR THE PEOPLE OF SCOTLAND! 8. Currently the the Scottish economy is running in surplus in the amount of revenue flowing to the Treasury south of the border. The Chancellor is refusing to release a fraction of this figure to promote the development of “SHOVEL READY CONTRACTS”. this would greatly assist the hard hit construction industry in Scotland with the creation of thousands of new jobs 9. I would like to relate a wee personal story which is highly relevant to this item. “A few years ago I spent several weeks working in a beautiful small town in Germany (HECINGEN) in the building industry. I shared my accommodation with three colleagues from south of the border. One evening on our way back to lodgings. one of my friends said that it is a unique situation we find ourselves in considering that we are probably the only four “ENGLISH PEOPLE” in this town. My response was to totally ignore what he had just said, probably the result of over 50 years of hearing this kind of indiscretion from not only ordinary people but also almost a daily doze of the same treatment from the English media NO RESPECT FOR THE PEOPLE OF SCOTLAND” 10.Finally (though I could go on to many more instances based on this principle) I turn to what I refer to as the “South-east English Olympic games”. After the planning stages of the actual location for the chosen venue were off the drawing board, it then became the remit of the Government at Westminster to allocate the various enormous building contracts to various contractors. The then Minister (Labour) Tessa Jowell made a statement to the house to the effect that the contracts would be “DEFINITELY” divided equitably throughout the four home nations. The end result, in spite of this commitment, was that Scottish companies were awarded the infinitesimal 0.02% of the total spending on overall building costs. Apart from this scandalous treatment at the hands of the Government, the Scottish tax-payers and charities have subsidized the whole event to the tune of millions and millions of pounds and have been allocated a handful of soccer matches as recompense. In light of these dire statistics I certainly make “NO APOLOGY” for my antipathy towards this event. NO RESPECT FOR THE PEOPLE OF SCOTLAND!. In the final analysis I live in hope that my English friends will read this communication and, applying the sense of fairness that their country is deservedly renowned for; come to appreciate that my personal feelings are of passionate pride in my Scottish heritage. If the truth be told,like myself,” TRUE SCOTS” curry more animosity towards the alleged Scots who have chosen to sell their nationhood out for “ENGLISH GOLD”. Let us all hope that the soon to be “DIVORCE” will occur in a spirit of harmony and “MUTUAL RESPECT”. Much has been written recently by the English media of the constant references to Disraeli by messrs Cameron and Milliband at their respective conferences. My above title is a reference to a book penned by the aforementioned in which he analyzes the consequences of the 19th.century continuation of the “UNWRITTEN” Constitution (more on this subject in another article) In my following satire I hope to reflect the “TRUE” context of the Cameron speech at his conference. The One Nation Party. WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER, IN THESE TIMES OF ADVERSITY, WE ARE AND ALWAYS HAVE BEEN A NATION OF DIVERSITY. WE ARE THE NATURAL PARTY OF GOVERNMENT, ALWAYS READY TO DO OUR DUTY FOR THE PEOPLE WE REPRESENT. THE SUN MAY HAVE SET ON OUR EMPIRE, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SCOTLAND AND WALES, BUT THE DUNKIRK SPIRIT OF OUR PEOPLE STILL PREVAILS. AND DID OUR FEET WALK OVER OUR ENEMIES IN TWO WORLD WARS, IN FOREIGN FIELDS ALL OVER THE WORLD FROM AGINCOURT TO CULLODEN AND ON TO FLANDERS OUR PEOPLE HAVE FOUGHT FOR COMMON CAUSE. THERE IS A CORNER WHICH WILL FOREVER BE ENGLAND, WHERE THE MOTHER OF PARLIAMENTS HAS IMPLANTED DEMOCRATIC VALUES AS PLANNED. THIS SCEPTRED ISLE IS SURROUNDE BY A BOUNTIFUL SEA, PROVIDING THE ENERGY OF GAS AND OIL TO TURN THE WHEELS OF OUR INDUSTRY. TOGETHER WE WILL BUILD A NEW JERUSALEM, LIKE A PHOENIX RISING FROM THE ASHES OF FINANCIAL MAYHEM. AT THE END OF THE DAY THIS GOVERNMENT PROMISES TO DO ITS DUTY, ON BEHALF OF THIS GREEN AND PLEASANT LAND IN ALL ITS BEAUTY.. MAY GOD BLESS QUEEN ELIZABETH OF ENGLAND.

A PROPOSED TRADE MISSION.

This past week the media down here has been engaged in unrestrained and habitual approbation of things royal. I refer to the visit of Prince Harry to countries in the Caribbean and South America. The purpose of these highly publicized events was linked to the “OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE” celebrations of the English Queen’s diamond jubilee. His visits were also used as propaganda on behalf of a trade mission promoting British (English) business interests..

My purpose in writing this missive is to advocate the commission of a Scottish trade delegation to be treated with the greatest of urgency to follow in the footsteps of the English equivalent, with emphasis in contacting our “FRIENDS” in Argentina and Brazil. This would represent a logical step to take after the splendid establishment of good relations with China and India; the two South American countries are rated highly as future dynamic economies, who have both weathered the storm of the “Financial Tsunami” which has hit the rest of the world these past several years

I recently posted a message on my status about the wonderful book written by Billy Kay----“The Scottish World”, he writes copiously about the Scottish Diaspora. Normally when we discuss this subject we immediately think America, Australia, and Canada etc...Billy in his travels has charted a course through countries we would never dream of associating with the Diaspora. Examples are Argentina and Brazil, I won’t go into detail, but be assured that both countries have benefited greatly from the influence of good Scottish people throughout history. Therefore there is absolutely every chance that in these two countries our approaches” especially handled with Alex’s propensity toward diplomatic skills,” would be looked on with perhaps preferential treatment.

A quick rider to the above, I may be a bit late in my proposition; I would not really mind ;it would mean the subject had already been addressed.

We have the responsibility to ensure that our “MARCH” represents a series of steps numbering in the “THOUSANDS” in a symbolic gigantic “LEAP FORWARD” in our ever increasing pressure on the opposition in our battle for “TOTAL INDEPENDENCE”.

“ONE URGENT AND VITAL PART OF THIS MESSAGE IS TO REMIND OURSELVES THAT THE EYES AND THE EARS OF THE WORLD WILL BE FOCUSED ON THE TURN-OUT FOR THE EVENT”.
