Scotland—A Proud Nation?? Hail Caledonia.. Ref:-

Pride and association with Oil of Scotland.

Before proceeding with my proposition on what I believe to be the key to the future Independence of
Our country. I must refer to the following Ancient Greek tenet, as mentioned on my f.b.wall; which has a
Powerful resonance in relation to the theme of my message. My lovely friend Konstantina Ritsou has
Provided a fitting responsive elaboration on the tenet.
The quote:-
“There is no witness so terrible,no accuser so powerful as the conscience that dwells within each of us”.
It does not take a stretch of the imagination to see the link between the above and “Pride and Patriotism”.
On the subject of pride I would refer the reader to my letter on my blog (see details above).

I now turn to the substance of my proposition.
As is the case with many of my good friends, I am sure they are as mystified as me at the seeming lack of
“Official” response to the scandal of the North Sea Oil Saga.
I discovered on a brief investigation on the web that there exists a world body which deals with matters pertaining
To the fundamental issue of International laws of the sea. This is known as “The United Nations Convention On
The Laws of the Sea (UNCLOS).Furthermore this organization has an “Appeals Process”, set up to deal with
Disputes between Nations who deem they have genuine complaints on any subject covered by the charter

At the election in May of this year, statistics reveal that almost half a million people voted S.N.P...It is safe to
Assume that the majority favour Independence. Applying the principle that 50% of these voters would be willing to donate a mere £2.00 to a fund to be used for the special purpose of hiring a firm of lawyers, with the experience
In this field to challenge the English Government in the U.N.agency quoted; on behalf of the Scottish people.
An easy calculation reveals that £500,000 will go a long towards the cost of chartering the team of experts
To fulfil our agenda.

My suggested submission will have more than one notable advantage, apart from the enormous International
Publicity the U.N.event will engender; even the “Conspiratorial Pro-union Media” back home will be forced
To “Reluctantly” publish details of the appeals procedure universally to the Scottish people. This will in turn
Provide a boost to the “Oil of Scotland” campaign

I would also include an important mention of the wonderful support we are currently receiving from our
“MANY” friends in countries all over the world. These include Authors, Artists, Historians and people from all
walks of life. There is no doubt in my mind that the good-will projected by all these good people towards our
wee country is a testament to the respect that is reflected in their universal support for our Independence..

In conclusion may I suggest that a review of this concept is carried out by Mr.Niall Aslen (MFYF).

Scotland—A Proud Nation?? Hail Caledonia..

A different nation for a different people

It’s “almost” all over! Whilst I feel deep sympathy for the good “TRUE SCOTS” who fought for a DEMOCRATIC
solution to the Nation’s problems, representing the S.N.P.in this election. They may and should seek solace in the
fact that the final result will inevitably lead to the Party’s advantage in the long term.
I have stressed in the past that I am no expert on psychology; this does not prevent me from presenting my own
views on the reasons for the shambolic outcome of this event as follows.
The first and most obvious conclusion to draw is that in the words of David Cameron, an oft quoted slogan in
his election campaign; “Britain is Broken!” This result has confirmed what the “Hundreds of Thousands” of
S.N.P.supporters have been saying for years, the concept of a United Kingdom is a figment of the medias
imagination. We are now faced with the prospect of the Scottish people being governed from Westminster
by an administration in which only approximately 15% of the electorate voted for “and they have the
Eeffrontery to call this a “Democracy”. I would add a certain amount of sympathy for the voters of “Middle
England” who find themselves in the position of possibly having to contend with a “Rainbow Coalition”,
consisting of every party with the exception of the one they voted for.
Its all over, the fat lady has rendered a sad lament for the people of Scotland. As I state on my Facebook wall,
thanks to the pro-union element of the Scottish electorate the Nation will be governed from London by an
administration which in no way reflects the judgement of the Scottish people! The front page of the English
edition of the Daily Express exemplifies the attitude of the media down here; it displays a full page photograph
of David Cameron with his wife, in the doorway of No.10 with the caption “Britain Expects” and we all know
the origin of this but a different version. I understand they have produced an acronym for the new Administration,
naming it the “Con-Dem Government”. It takes little imagination to re-invent this to read “Con-Dem-Nation;
an apt description of the pro-union voters of Scotland. Already it has been agreed by the Lib-Dems that King
(Cameron) Neptune armed with his Trident will still be sailing up and down the Clyde aboard the Nuclear
submarines. Just a quick question “Who the h_ _ _ is Danny Alexander????”.

I will now introduce my humble attempt at applying psychology to the scenario.
The first part of this analysis concerns the Matthew Wright programme on Channel 5, Mr.Wright had apparently
paid a visit to Scotland. He informed his audience that his foray into Scotland felt to him as though he was in
“A Different Country”. I could have “Educated” him in the reality of the situation, by pointing out that he had
crossed a border into a country with a “Different Culture”.

I have made it clear in my earlier communications including my blog, that I am no Anglophobe: having lived in
England for many years. During this time I have shared countless conversations with “good” English people,
The one prevailing feature of these discussions is how they were impressed by the difference they observed in the
cultural life and outstanding hospitality they experienced in their visits to Scotland.

Taken together my two examples above highlight the simple “fact” that the media oriented principle of being
“British & Britishness”are not a concept shared by the peoples of Scotland and England.

There is a third sequence of events which neatly bind in with the theme of my narrative. This was an occurrence
of national significance, in fact the media sensationalized into what was termed the “Dianagate”scandal. For a
while even the media sycophant’s cast doubt on the survival of the English monarchy. At the height of the sordid
exposition of (not so bonnie) Charlie’s, meandering; it was decided to take a poll on the popularity of Royalty.
The actual poll was split into the four countries that make up the U.K.(Excuse my bad language!).It comprised a
simple Yes or No answer----“Do you want the Monarchy terminated?” The results revealed that the only Nation
voting yes was Scotland.

I firmly believe that there is no question about the jury being out on the subject of the cultural distinction between
the Scottish and English peoples. The purpose of this exercise is to expose these distinctions, not in the sense of a
superior Scotland; I have made it clear on occasion that I deplore any Nationalistic Jingoism or Xenophobia.

The Wikipedia web entry describes the S.N.P.as a party with a “Centre-Left Philosophy”, which brings them more
in line with the ideology of the Labour Party. As a result of this alignment the Scottish electorate (in modern times)
have consistently voted for parties with left-wing tendencies. Of course there was the “Aberration” of 1955 where
the Tories won a majority of seats. Political analysts concluded that the strength of the Tory vote had (unfortunate)
sectarian connotations, with the Church of Scotland exerting a degree of Protestant loyalism, even in the working
class. The “Dogma” of sectarianism should be replaced (as a priority) by a Patriotic Scottishness.

In my conclusion I feel that I have succeeded in establishing the “Fact” that Scottish political opinions are innately
linked.to the compassionate qualities evinced by the people of the Nation.

Finally the result of this election has presented the S.N.P.with the most propitious opportunity to move the Nation
forward on the road to Full Independence. One of my Facebook friends (Charlie Reid) has proposed a protest
rally on behalf of Independence, I would advocate something more in the line of a series of these events, the
first to be staged at the by-election in Kirkcaldy. I would hope that there would be strong representation from
“Young Scots for Independence”. For too long our Nation has accepted subjugation as part of life.
TIME TO STAND UP (MARCH) AND BE COUNTED!

Appeal to American friends of Scotland.

“Every line of strength in U.S.history is a line coloured with Scottish blood.”
Above is a quote from a speech by President Woodrow Wilson.
Another important historical fact, the American Declaration of Independence was modelled on the Scottish
Declaration of Arbroath. These fundamental factors, along with many other circumstances, serve to prove the
“Special Relationship” that exist between the two great Nations. Never mind the modern propaganda about a
“American----British” special relationship!
In the following appeal I wish to enact the part in modern terms of another famous “American Hero” Paul
Revere. This will be the equivalent to his “Midnight Ride”. This time the purpose behind my mission will be
To arouse my American friends to use their influence to encourage the “Scottish Societies” to get behind the
Movement in Scotland for Independence. The records reveal that there is a proliferation of these Pro-Scottish
Societies in every part of America, amounting to hundreds of thousands of potential supporters of my project.
Understand that I am not wielding a begging bowl; my aspiration is simply to garner “MORAL” assistance
For a cause which needs the help from as many of the Nation’s friends as possible.

I have expressed quite clearly in my letters on my blog, my opinion on the “ENIGMATIC” attitude of the Scottish
People on the subject of Independence.

My impressions of America, which includes working as an employee and colleague in Saudi Arabia, is one of
Respect for their attitude on the subject of “Fairness & Justice”. I wonder then what their response would be to
The treatment Scotland has received from the Westminster Government on North Sea Oil & Gas?
For further information enter the following in your search engine:-
The “McCrone Report” leaflet campaign.
The change to Scotland’s Marine Borders 1999.

One idea would be to back the planned rally. Details below:-
Contact:-Jock Campbell or Charlie Reid on face book on-March for the Freedom of Scotland.
Or:-E-mail-marchforyourfuture@gmail.com

A rider to the above:-I put forward my idea for the principle of the Rally (March) to be based on the scandal of
The North Sea Oil scenario. However the final strategy or motivation behind it will be decided by the committee
Consisting of a number of people who deserve every accolade for at last standing up for their Nation.

491,386, For Independence.

The above total represents the total amount of votes cast for the S.N.P.at the recent general election.
Personally I am very heartened by this statistic; to achieve these figures is a testament to the dedication
Of every person who”Fought”against, among other things “A VILE & ANTAGONISTIC MEDIA”.

The main purpose of this pragmatic (I hope) appeal to every one of the voters who in voting for the S.N.P.
Did so in the knowledge that they were supporting the concept of Independence for our country. The following is
My response, and ideas, on the subject of the facebook appeal “Let’s hold a protest rally for the Independence of
Scotland”.

The first principle to establish in the planning of the event is motivation. My own thoughts on this subject are based
On the fact that the rally should cover everyone in Scotland, no matter their party affiliation; the headline banner
Should be “A search for Justice for ALL the people of Scotland. The internet abounds with anecdotal evidence on
How the Westminster Government in 1999 conveniently and “ILLEGALLY” move the Scottish Marine Borders;
With the subsequent consequences of “ROBBING” Scotland of the revenue from the North Sea. Up to now this
Scenario has been accepted without a murmur of protest. The first priority is to establish the “IRREVOCABLE
FACTS” behind this act of chicanery, by consultation with a reputable constitutional law group.
The next priority is to garner the maximum publicity for the rally. As stated we face a media with a complex of
Negativity, this is blatantly obvious in that they have been complicit in not sharing with the Scottish public the
Record of this iniquitous act. There is one course of action the organizers can implement, they can recruit the help
Of famous Scottish personalities; Sean Connery, Annie Lennox come immediately to mind. These are people who
Are invaluable in dealing with the media.

This rally could prove the most important event in modern Scottish history,we start with a base line of almost half a million potential supporters; the most important factor to consider is that the underlying theme to it is “SCOTTISH
PRIDE”.

I MAY EVEN CONSIDER ATTENDING MYSELF. (With my good lady’s consent)

Reply to Paul Johnson.

On my facebook I quote a few lines from an article written by the gentleman (?) in my title.
The following was my considered reply to him.
In a quiz a Scotsman, Irishman, Welshman & Englishman were asked to answer the following
Question:- Name the odd one out?
A:-The Scots are mean!
B:-The Irish are thick!
C:-The Welsh are dour!
D:-The English are arrogant!
The contestants were unanimous in their answer----“Example D”,for differing reasons.
The first three deemed “D”to be the only one to be true.
The Englishman quoted “D”as the only example without a grain of truth.

A Golden Occasion.

On the 23rd. of January, 1960,an event occurred which I view as the most propitious day of my life.
I married my wife (Agnes) in a quiet civic ceremony in the great Capital city of Edinburgh, we then
Proceeded to the Wee Windaes restaurant for lunch, before setting off for our honeymoon in the
Granite City of Aberdeen.
I have now arranged, without the knowledge of Agnes, to repeat the scenario in part; as follows.
We will travel to Edinburgh on Friday 22nd, staying in a hotel overnight.
On Saturday the all important 23rd. we will then dine for lunch at the Wee Windaes Restaurant
At approximately 2.00 p.m.
Return journey to the other country on Saturday evening to be beside our great family.

Priority and Manifesto Commitments.

Although I label this a priority, some may regard it as trivial in the grand scheme of things.
Living down here I appreciate the anomaly of the term “United Kingdom”. Therefore I would
Urge that a concerted effort be made to eliminate universally the term from the lexicon of the
Scottish culture.
Looking into the future of an Independent Scotland, I would propose that our party include in
Their manifesto the undertaking to the Scottish people that they would commit to holding a
Referendum on the two following issues.
1:- A yes or no answer on the link the Nation will have to the English Monarchy, in other words
Should the country become a “Democratic Republic”?
2:- A referendum will be held to decide whether the country should commit armed forces to
Aid England in a state of war.
The above represents my own humble opinion on important aspects of how I would like the party
To progress toward the “Democratization” of the country.

Scotland—A Proud Nation?? Hail Caledonia..

A Leaflet Campaign.

Friday 9th.December 2005:- The English edition of the Independent newspaper published a front
Page article written by Ben Russell & Paul Kelbie, the subject of which was the McCrone report;
And the subsequent consequences for the future of Scotland.

February 14th.2009:- The English edition of the Times newspaper published a front page article
Headed “Secret plan to deprive Independent Scotland of North Sea Oil Fields”. In the feature it
Was disclosed that in an interview with Professor Ian Scobie of Glasgow University, he was quoted
As stating unequivocally that the change to Scottish Marine Borders implemented by the Blair
Government of 1999(Colluded in full by the Lib/Lab.Government at Holyrood) was “ILLEGAL”
Under International Law.

These two articles provide comprehensive proof of the litany of infamy perpetrated by the two
Governments which taken in context represents the utter contempt the pro-union parties have for
Scotland and its people.

The main cause for my concern with regard to this scenario is, how many of the Scottish electorate
Are aware of the calumny of the situation?

In my humble opinion the McCrone Report is a document of equal importance to the Declaration of
Arbroath to the Scottish people..

My proposal is that the two newspaper accounts should be transcribed into “Leaflet”form, thence
Distributed by the party supporters to every household across the land. Obviously the finance for
My proposition would be quite considerable; however I have been greatly encouraged recently by
The record of support for the party emanating from people with a great deal of money; this could
Prove to be a source for the necessary funding.
The underlying principle of my idea is that in the coming election for the English Parliament, even
The most die-hard pro-union electors; having studied the leaflet; will be persuaded to place their X
In the right box.
