Scotland—A Proud Nation?? Hail Caledonia..

Reply to Paul Johnson.

On my facebook I quote a few lines from an article written by the gentleman (?) in my title.
The following was my considered reply to him.
In a quiz a Scotsman, Irishman, Welshman & Englishman were asked to answer the following
Question:- Name the odd one out?
A:-The Scots are mean!
B:-The Irish are thick!
C:-The Welsh are dour!
D:-The English are arrogant!
The contestants were unanimous in their answer----“Example D”,for differing reasons.
The first three deemed “D”to be the only one to be true.
The Englishman quoted “D”as the only example without a grain of truth.

A Golden Occasion.

On the 23rd. of January, 1960,an event occurred which I view as the most propitious day of my life.
I married my wife (Agnes) in a quiet civic ceremony in the great Capital city of Edinburgh, we then
Proceeded to the Wee Windaes restaurant for lunch, before setting off for our honeymoon in the
Granite City of Aberdeen.
I have now arranged, without the knowledge of Agnes, to repeat the scenario in part; as follows.
We will travel to Edinburgh on Friday 22nd, staying in a hotel overnight.
On Saturday the all important 23rd. we will then dine for lunch at the Wee Windaes Restaurant
At approximately 2.00 p.m.
Return journey to the other country on Saturday evening to be beside our great family.

Priority and Manifesto Commitments.

Although I label this a priority, some may regard it as trivial in the grand scheme of things.
Living down here I appreciate the anomaly of the term “United Kingdom”. Therefore I would
Urge that a concerted effort be made to eliminate universally the term from the lexicon of the
Scottish culture.
Looking into the future of an Independent Scotland, I would propose that our party include in
Their manifesto the undertaking to the Scottish people that they would commit to holding a
Referendum on the two following issues.
1:- A yes or no answer on the link the Nation will have to the English Monarchy, in other words
Should the country become a “Democratic Republic”?
2:- A referendum will be held to decide whether the country should commit armed forces to
Aid England in a state of war.
The above represents my own humble opinion on important aspects of how I would like the party
To progress toward the “Democratization” of the country.

A Leaflet Campaign.

Friday 9th.December 2005:- The English edition of the Independent newspaper published a front
Page article written by Ben Russell & Paul Kelbie, the subject of which was the McCrone report;
And the subsequent consequences for the future of Scotland.

February 14th.2009:- The English edition of the Times newspaper published a front page article
Headed “Secret plan to deprive Independent Scotland of North Sea Oil Fields”. In the feature it
Was disclosed that in an interview with Professor Ian Scobie of Glasgow University, he was quoted
As stating unequivocally that the change to Scottish Marine Borders implemented by the Blair
Government of 1999(Colluded in full by the Lib/Lab.Government at Holyrood) was “ILLEGAL”
Under International Law.

These two articles provide comprehensive proof of the litany of infamy perpetrated by the two
Governments which taken in context represents the utter contempt the pro-union parties have for
Scotland and its people.

The main cause for my concern with regard to this scenario is, how many of the Scottish electorate
Are aware of the calumny of the situation?

In my humble opinion the McCrone Report is a document of equal importance to the Declaration of
Arbroath to the Scottish people..

My proposal is that the two newspaper accounts should be transcribed into “Leaflet”form, thence
Distributed by the party supporters to every household across the land. Obviously the finance for
My proposition would be quite considerable; however I have been greatly encouraged recently by
The record of support for the party emanating from people with a great deal of money; this could
Prove to be a source for the necessary funding.
The underlying principle of my idea is that in the coming election for the English Parliament, even
The most die-hard pro-union electors; having studied the leaflet; will be persuaded to place their X
In the right box.
