Scotland—A Proud Nation?? Hail Caledonia..
LETTER TO PAUL WHEELHOUSE.
Dear Paul, First I would like to thank you for your interest in my comments over these past few months.
You certainly help in boosting my moral, considering my circumstances in living in a “FOREIGN” environment.
Not that I can complain in having the background of a very happy family life. As you are well aware I am constantly
Attempting to think of ideas to promote our cause, the following is my latest suggestion which I put to you for
Appraisal; in the hope that it meets with your approval, and you can offer me some advice on how to promote
The idea on F.B.and beyond.
A short time ago I attempted (without success) to persuade several Scottish Societies in different countries to
“Verbally” show support for our fight for Independence. Although I experienced failure in my objective; I
Discovered in my investigation that there exists Scottish Societies of various descriptions in almost every country
on the planet. One of the most important issues for me is that Scotland is”Seriously Underestimated “on the
International scene. We must prioritize in obviating this misconception by emphasizing that we are something other
Than a “Minor Component Part”(REGION) of the (DIS)United Kingdom. We are all aware of the mis- use of the terms
England & English as a major contributory factor in the above scenario.(I have recently heard President Obama
making this mistake).
These Scottish Agencies I refer to are in general (although loyal to their respective countries) display an enthusiasm
For all things Scottish, which puts to shame all these pro-union idiots; who have no sense of patriotism to their native country. The idea is to contact representatives of the agencies, stressing that we are not holding out a begging bowl; we
are simply requesting that they commit to “MORAL” support for our party and importantly spread the news across their respective Nations.
The big question is how to implement the idea in a simple way. I would not ask you to take the action personally, as I realize how busy you are in the run-up to the election. I am hoping that you can point me in the right direction to
Apply the principle in a simple form.
Meanwhile I will continue to encourage as many people as possible to support the Edinburgh Uni.Students March for Scotland in early April. It is so refreshing to see the youth of our country playing an active role on the question of the future of our country; they are impervious to the old dogmas which have served to negate any progress in our struggle
for our ultimate objective.
Hoping to hear from you soon.
Always your friend, David.
