Scotland—A Proud Nation?? Hail Caledonia..

The Fat Lady Has Sung

Continuing on my title musical theme,I can assure all of my good friends that I am quite an emotional person;
I have been known to shed a few tears at the sound of the massed pipe-bands playing. I therefore would like to
Express my response to the wonderful result in my country’s election in my own interpretation by quoting
Song titles both old and new.
If music be the food of love? Let the bagpipes play on!
The following is my humble attempt at composing an appropriate rhapsody, to reflect my feelings towards
The result. Which I have been dreaming about for as long as can remember.

My first reaction was to “Cry Me A River”.Having stayed up till the wee small hours my thoughts were “Oh
What A Night It Was.” Although the overall picture is one of promise we must consider that we are “Almost
There”. Despite this I ended up thinking “Heaven I`m In Heaven”which left me contemplating that, if I paid a
visit to my homeland would I be deemed “A Stranger In Paradise?” There is no doubt that at the exhortations
of the man of the moment (need not be named) everyone involved was persuaded to “Fight The Good Fight”.
Of one thing we can be certain a massive proportion of the Scottish public have adopted the attitude of
“Beyond The Fear”Of the Nation standing on its own as an Independent country. This must go down in the
annals of Scottish history as “Dawn Of The Day”the majority of the people summoned up the courage to reject
the dogma of Pro-Unionist parties particularly the charlatans of the Labour party. As stated above I can on occasion
be stirred to tears by particular pieces of music, an outstanding example of this the massed bands playing “Amazing
Grace”.

As a result of this momentous occasion, one thing we can all be certain of; Scotland from now on can never be
Considered a “GREY” area on the map of the world.

Note:-The melody “Beyond the Fear” I have on a C.D. sung by Deborah Sprout, and it is my privilege to have this
Wonderfully talented young lady as my friend on F.B.

Sincerely, David. Lol.
