Scotland—A Proud Nation?? Hail Caledonia..

REFERENDUM YES

Last night I awoke from a dream,
The midnight sky with stars all agleam.
I found myself soaked with sweat,
The content of my dream was as good as you can get.
My fellow Scots had voted yes
In droves they had overcome those who thought of less.
They had voted for Independence in full,
Complete eradication of Westminster rule.
The details of my dream like a beautiful Scottish mountain glen
Imprinted in my mind never to be forgotten
A spokesperson for the winners at a celebratory dinner
Quoted the following reasons for the win
Hard to hear above the merrymaking and the din

The people voted YES for the future of our children
The people voted YES to the Independence from a “Foreign Power”..
The people voted YES to a more prosperous society.
The people voted YES for advancement of our cultural heritage.
The people voted YES to non-nuclear proliferation.
The people voted YES for both a non-sectarian and racist community.
The people voted YES for a future referendum on the Monarchy
The people voted YES for the future creation (within human terms) of a
Fair and equitable Nation.
Finally as is the character of the people
The people voted YES for the country to share its new found wealth
Those less fortunate in countries throughout the world

To the doubters I deliver this admonition,
This dream of mine was a “POSITIVE PREMONITION!

  1. It wasn't a premonition, it was your recollection of the 1979 rigged referendum!
